Rum Nation is a selection of the best local rums characteristic of the given areas. They are both young and older rums, which mostly go through double maturation. The first maturation is an intensive process in the tropical climates where the rums come from. When the rum is transported to Europe, it ages a second time. Here, depending on the size of the barrels, it is possible to control whether the rum should take on other characteristics of the barrel or rather rest so that its taste stabilizes.
In Lambayeque - an area in the north of Peru, classic Spanish-type rum is produced in exactly the same way as in the first half of the 20th century, when the local distillery was founded: Molasses is obtained from mature sugar cane grown in favorable climatic conditions and unusually fertile soil. They use distillation columns, aging in barrels of various types similar to the solera method and blending according to a timeless recipe. Thanks to its youth, this sweet Peruvian rum with notes of figs and dates retains freshness and a sharp, lively yet light character. It tastes great in cocktails, but it's even better on its own with a few ice cubes.

To mark its 20th anniversary, Rum Nation has selected some of the best, sweetest casks of excellent Guatemalan rum. It is produced from sugarcane molasses in a column still. It is then aged for a minimum of 4 years in the tropical conditions of the Hondo River in the white oak barrels in which the bourbon was originally matured.
The secret of its distinctive and rich taste lies in the second maturation - it matures for 16 months in a cooler Italian environment, in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels. Those add another layer of complexity to the rum together with wine and fruit notes that enhance its natural sweetness and taste of vanilla and raisins.
