10 Aniversario Cincuenta is based on the same recipe as 10 Aniversario Reserva, but it is bottled at a higher strength of 50 % - and thus offers a higher intensity of taste. It is a rum suitable for full character cocktails. However, it is also excellent on its own with ice, which does not dilute it too much. The flavor profile is reminiscent of sweet fruit, vanilla and chocolate. However, it is much more intense, more concentrated and the rum is more pronounced in the mouth. The higher proportion of alcohol underlines the drier taste of the wine, which it acquires by maturing in sherry casks.
The result is a rum somewhere between the light, fresh 10 Aniversario Reserva and the Solera 15 rum, which has a sweeter taste with deeper complexity.
