Godet XO Organic Gastronome was created in 1838 by Augustin Godet as an extra dry cognac, ideal as a digestif.
After more than 150 years, the 15th generation of the Godet family decided to revive this recipe. The new Gastronome Organic from the hands of Jean-Edouard Godet is made from 100 % organic grapes from the Fins Bois region. It is aged in oak barrels for 12 years.

Currently, 98 % of the Cognac vineyards are covered by the Ugni Blanc variety. Godet Single Grape Cognacs are produced from the remaining 2 %. These rare, forgotten and exquisite varieties miraculously survived the phylloxera plague of 1875. The Godet family, together with local winemakers, have been cultivating them for two generations, and this care is also what makes these cognacs different and unique.
One of these varieties is Montils. Cognac made exclusively from this variety is matured after distillation for 6 to 15 years. The aroma is characterized by notes of burnt wood. The silky, full, rounded taste shows notes of brioche, bourbon vanilla and caramel.
