Frangelico is an Italian liqueur made from hazelnuts, essence and extracts of coffee, cocoa and vanilla. According to legend, its history began to be written more than 300 years ago by Christian monks who lived in the mountains of Piedmont, Italy. They also mastered the art of distillation, especially of wild-growing hazelnuts and other rare ingredients, thanks to which they created recipes for liqueurs. Among them was also the recipe, which is followed by Frangelico.

The irresistible taste of this liqueur is given by the highly prized variety of hazelnuts tonda gentile belonging to Piedmont specialties.
