XO Haakon Royal Reserve celebrates the friendship between King Haakon VII of Norway and Valdemar Riise, son of AH Riise. This blend is made primarily from rum, distilled in a pot still.
Tasting notes:

The Royal Danish Navy bottling process is still inspired by the methods used by A.H. Riise in his pharmacy on the island of St. Thomas. Whenever the Danish Navy was docked in Charlotte Amalie, historical records show that it received regular supplies of rum from A.H. Riise. A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy was created as a commemoration of this interesting period.
Royal Danish Navy has an admirably high ester content, as the fermented molasses is distilled using the pot still method to an alcohol content of 85%. Its unmistakable taste is then ensured by carefully selected casks.

The Frigate Jutland is a unique blend prepared in honor of the famous frigate Jylland, which once sailed under the Danish flag in the Caribbean. It is said that the sailors on board her received a daily ration of rum from AH Riise as a reward for their service. The frigate Jylland often docked at St. Thomas for resupply, which was the beginning of the association of this prestigious ship with the AH Riise brand.
Today, the frigate Jylland is anchored in Ebeltoft, Denmark, where thousands of visitors come to see this proud symbol of Danish naval history every year.

Royal Danish Navy Strength with a strength of 55 % was specially created to honor the long-standing and close ties between the Danish Navy and AH Riis. Rum has long been an integral part of the salary of sailors, not only in the merchant marine, but also in the navy. Navy Strength is based on the original recipe of the unique bestseller Royal Danish Navy with a strength of 40 %.
