Gin inspired by Guatemala and Mayan culture is handcrafted and distilled five times in a copper still. It uses botanicals such as bay leaf, black pepper, lemon, orange, cardamom and pericón, typical of Guatemala.

The name Xibal comes from the Mayan legend of Xibalbá, the underworld where souls come after death and go through trials. Those who overcome them become stars. Mayan culture is also depicted on the bottle, the label of which is decorated with hieroglyphs and a jade mask.
